Any group info on this guys?
It had always been pretty sluggish on the starter but now it is almost not working just re terminated the high current wires got a jumper on it so the battery shouldn't be an issue . Is it worth pulling the motor ?

I had similar issues with mine.
Pulled it out (MAJOR job) and found the brushes in poor condition. They cannot be purchased as a part from Sherco but the starter is a common one on many bikes and found some for a KTM that are the same. Fitted them and problem solved.
Side note .... to make the starter removal easy I ground away the small bracing strut on the clutch housing that stops the starter coming out without lifting the motor. Works fine and so far no issues with that brace removed.
hi, i am also having problems with the starter of my 300 SE 2016

I replaced the bendix with the new one with part number 7280 which should fix the problems, however now when I press the start button, the starter spin and bendix gears turn, but the bendix does not stretch to engage the freewheel.

why do you think? the starter does not spin fast enough to stretch the bendix?
