Coolant system question. 17 SEF-r 300
Background: The seal went in my water pump which eventually cause head gasket to go. Both were replaced and system pressure tested after which checked out fine. Problem is after first initial few rides I'm still losing an inch or so out of the reserve tank per ride.
I drained the oil and no sign of coolant. I see no leaks on the exterior hoses, connections, rad cap or bottle. Coolant level in rads remains good and stable throughout also looks clear. I only drop at reserve tank.
I typically ride in very slow, techy trails which obviously causes high heat especially in these summer months but I'm not sure where this coolant is going if I cant see any leaks and its not in the engine. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How many times has this happened ?
More than 5 ?
Try retorquing the head when cold.
If so my guess is head gasket.
Even though the pressure test was good things change when hot.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I was deployed.

Update. I initially filled the reservoir coolant tank to just under half. After initial rides it noticeably dropped.

However since it has reached a point where the level is 3/4inch above the min level line of the tank, coolant loss is less noticeable. It almost seems that if the tank is filled too much above the min level line it losses coolant through overflow tube. Is this possible? Any experiences with this?

To add, levels in rads has never dropped.

Thanks again
